Based in New Haven, Connecticut, Anthem offers Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance plans to residents of Connecticut. They are a PPO and require you to choose a doctor from their approved list.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama offers medical and dental insurance plans. They offer group rates, plans for federal employees, long-term health care plans and Preferred Blue Accounts, which are tax-free healthcare savings accounts.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois
With a number of individual and family health insurance plans, along with Medicare supplements, it’s easy to get reasonably priced insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. They also offer group coverage to businesses.
Capital District Physician’s Health Plan
Capital District Physician’s Health Plan offers comprehensive health insurance plans to those living in New York state and western areas of Vermont.
CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield
Serving Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C., CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield insures more than three million people. They have a huge base of approved medical professionals and more than 165 hospitals.
Independent Health
Independent Health provides private and group health insurance to those living in western New York State. They also sell dental insurance and tax-free medical savings accounts. They have more than 2,700 doctors in their network.
Kaiser Permanente Northern California
Kaiser Permanente Northern California provides health insurance for more than three million and has more than 4,400 doctors in their network. They are NCQA rated Excellent.
Kaiser Permanente Northwest
Serving residents of Northwest Oregon and southwest Washington State, Kaiser Permanente Northwest provides coverage for close to 500,000. They are connected to hospitals in Portland, Salem and Longview-Kelso.
Mutual of Omaha
Mutual of Omaha dropped their PPO health insurance plan, but they still offer critical illness, long-term care, Medicare supplements and dental.
Tufts Health Plan
Tufts Health Plan offers health insurance to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Their HMO insurance started in 1979 and has received high ratings ever since.
