Understanding Health Reform
The Government’s proposed mandatory health insurance has been the headline of most news media and on most American’s minds these past months. But, there have been many reports, studies and surveys that show Americans will most likely “not comply” with the mandate of health insurance as reported by the Insurance Research Council.
Most Americans are concerned about how the government office will enforce such a mandate as “regulation is only as good as enforcement.” Also reported in the recent studies of the Insurance Research Council is that some people are “simply irresponsible and look to others to buy their insurance.”
With the government proposed order of making it mandatory for all Americans to have health insurance, many wonder about the affordability for the insurance. As the nation’s unemployment rate rises, more and more people will drop those expenses necessary to “make ends meet.”
However, under the proposed health reform, those Americans who refuse to purchase health insurance could face monetary penalties. The fines speculated in the health reform bill currently being reviewed by Congress could reach $1,000 for offenders. The Congressional Budget Office has reported that these fines to offenders caught without health insurance could raise billions in dollars over a ten-year period.
What Will Be Considered Mandatory
The Federal Government’s proposed mandatory health insurance will mean mandatory vaccinations/immunizations. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) says that for anyone who refuses to keep up-to-date vaccinations, under the new health reform, you will not be able to obtain any health care you may need until immunizations are current.
It was also reported that the new health care reform bill was submitted with a provision that those doctors and hospitals who are not “meaningful users” of the new reform system will also be faced with fines and penalties. As well as the Secretary of Health and Human Services will be “permitted to impose more stringent measures of meaningful use over time.”

The kind of health insurance the Obama government wants to introduce is insane. Forcing people to PAY for (presumably private) health insurance? If Obama were really sincere about making sure all Americans had health insurance, he would just take it out of their income tax and make Medicare or Medicaid universal. Everyone, rich and poor, would be eligible for the same level of health care. If people want a higher level of health care, then they should be prepared to pay out of their post-tax income. There should be no need for Americans to pay anything extra.
Opposition isn’t the word. I’m still against the government’s enforcement of auto insurance down to the state and local levels. While I’ve complied with the auto insurance and the rip off regulations, I will under no circumstances comply with this. For one, just on moral and the scripture, the government has no right whatsoever to inject anything in my veins unless I state in writing that this is the choice made by myself and on my behalf. If it passes, there would be no way I would comply.
“Health Insurance” is a JOKE!! It is nothing but managed Sick Care Of Amerika! I do not partake in any of it!! Why on earth would I ever want to subject my body to the medical establishments idiotic poison and radiation!!
At this point, no one knows what services the proposed health insurance policies will cover, or what the cost of premiums will be.
One of the House bills had a “religious exemption” as a basis to not buy this insurance, without a tax penalty. I suspect this exemption will remain in the final legislation. Christian Science is the religion cited to qualify for the exemption.
Therefore, I suggest that anyone who intends to stay out of this “mandatory” system should “get religion,” subscribe to the Christian Science Monitor, and claim to be a good Christian Scientist. We can beat them at their own game!
I am very interested in the authors’ assertions (attributed to the CDC) that mandatory vaccinations will be necessary to obtain insurance benefits, .
I would like to know the source of these statements- the CDC spokesperson who made them, an official report, a published regulation, etc. As a holistic physician, I am very opposed to mandatory vaccinations of any type. I have extensively researched vaccine issues; I do not use vaccines in my practice, and have never taken one, myself.
Any information the authors can supply about this important issue would be greatly appreciated.
For some time, now, the CDC has been casting about for a “back door” way to impose their policy of mandatory vaccinations- it looks like they may have found one, by linking vaccinations to insurance coverage.

I’ve been watching our illustrious, mysterious government for several decades now. And have concluded that besides being cheap and mean spirited towards the vast majority of its citizens its cadre of unseen cabals who really run this country, pass laws which are written to be grossly unpopular with the majority but are then only enforced on those least able to protect themselves from those “said laws”. This in turn has given birth to and abomination we call the “US Penal System” i.e. the newvoslave now under ownership of the government / corporate slaveholder!
And how about those of us who can’t GET insurance? My son is autistic-I can’t find an insurance company that will cover even half his expenses!I’m diabetic and have skin cancer-that’s a couple of “pre-existing conditions” no insurance company wants to touch. Not that I could afford to insure my family anyway-it would cost me roughly $12,000 a year to cover my family. That’s half my income.
Guess us poor, sick people are just supposed to roll over and die, right?
Given the choice and the state of the economy, most Americans (you know, those irresponsible ones) will prefer to eat as opposed to paying a ransom to some government-sponsored insurance fraud.
I for one do not believe this is constitutional, but what do I know of the constitution. It’s just a piece of paper …

It’s astounding that in this day and age medical care is a for-profit industry enriching shareholders at the expense of the poor — and by ‘poor’ I mean ‘middleclass.’
Big-pharma mark-ups are often +2000 percent profit per dose. Eg., .11-cents to manufacture, with the “consumer” paying hundreds of dollars.
Is it any wonder no one can afford to be healthy?
One of the greater, unaddressed problems is the tightly controlled supply of doctors in this country, a long-standing practice of the AMA to protect the earning power of its elitist membership. Of the thousands of fully qualified applicants to medical schools, each year, only a very small percentage are ever accepted. One way that this is accomplished is by limiting the number of medical schools, which limits systemic capacity and inflates the price of the training, so that the graduates sense of entitlement perpetuates the myth of limited supply, endlessly. If medical education were more avaiable to qualified candidates, and encouraged as a form of service to others, as opposed to another “really good job”, on par with stock-broker, porn-star or TV evangelist, then I think the “healthcare crisis” could be averted without the usual 350M+ losers (private citizens) and the 350 winners (politicians, insurance execs, pharmaceutical execs, stock-brokers, TV ad execs, medical-industrial execs, etc)whose ilk line up for their big check, in the wake of every other manufactured “crisis” this country faces.
First off, my constitution does not provide for these nazi’s to dictate anything to anyone. Even a idiot can look at all things that the gov. has gotten itself involved in that is crap now. These nazi’s just don’t know how to read, because if they did they would know that they are our agent not the other way around. Honestly, I think if you stood idiots and elected officials side by side you would know the elected one by the drool on the weak chin. I want proof that the CDC actually is calling for this in a health care plan. The insurance companies are spreading a lot of fear because they oppose national health care. They are no more to be trusted than the government is.
Why don’t they just have fines for people getting sick. Then no-one would get sick, right?
I’ve paid for my own health care (no insurance) for most of my 66 years on this planet and don’t intend to change that pattern now. I do not accept threats well, and that most especially applies to people trying to tell me I “must” buy health insurance and/or get vaccinated for this, that, or the other. If consigned to “debtors’ prison”, hey, that would give me time to write full time, wouldn’t it? In that case, trust me: A tyrannical government will not like what I have to say.
It seems that to the government, health reform means the ownership of our bodies. This just makes us another commodity for big business. I, for one, refuse to cooperate.
Between the insurance companies and Big Pharma, I feel as if we’re on a medical merry-go-round. I believe it was President Nixon who said: The worse thing a citizen has to fear, is the government showing up on their doorstep saying: I am from the government and am here to help you. Instead of pushing for health care reform, the government should stop the insurance companies from ripping us off.
1. Millions of Americans neither trust, nor use mainstream medical (except for obvious things like broken bones, appendectomies, hernia operations, stitches, and the like) because they fear dangerous and unnecessary tests, surgeries, and the chemical roulette of Big-Pharma, including poorly tested vaccines, diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, anti-depressant, etc. chemical pharmaceuticals.
2. These same people prefer non-FDA approved natural foods and herbs, non-conventional therapies and remedies, and are justifiably suspicious of this draconian government institution (the FDA, subsidized by corporate lobbies) which allows Big-Agri and Big-Food to advertise 40% GMO fructose, cocoa, and bleached wheat paste breakfast “cereal” to call itself healthy food, while threatening to fine and shut down organic cherry growers for citing scientific evidence as to the health benefits of natural fruit. They fear an organization which approves drugs which kill tens of thousands yearly before ordering a recall. They fear a government which grants legal immunity to the drug manufacturers when people die or are permanently damaged from using their products.
3. These same dissenting health-conscious individuals, who believe in, and routinely achieve, sickness prevention and thus have little need of “health (read: illness) insurance” are now going to be ordered by the government to purchase this useless paper “product” and submit to “officially approved” (mandated) drugs, vaccines, and other unwanted treatments (but usually not chiropractic or acupunture, homeopathic, massage, or other natural health therapies) or else pay huge fines (i.e.: taxes).
4. And if they fail to pay these fines, they will face incarceraton, and if they resist…well, we all know what happens if they resist. It involves uniforms, guns, handcuffs, court orders, frozen bank accounts, and jail anyway.
Why would a free people consider putting up with such a monstrous trampling of their unalienable rights? I, for one, do not have the slightest intention of allowing anyone to vaccinate me (I know I am not alone in this).
So what I perceive I am likely going to be told is that I either buy the insurance I neither need nor want, or pay the fines, but if I break a bone and want it set, I have to have it taken care of and pay for it separately, in order to avoid an otherwise potentially dangerous course of mandatory vaccinations.
I hope I’m not alone in saying, screw that. But if I am, so be it.

The cost according to them divided by approximately 300,000,000 individuals would be about $2385.. Now if yu are a couple that’s 4770, if you have a wife and two kids, quadruple that. Then factor in all those who are below a certain income level (and who gets to define that, pray tell,) then factor in those we subsidize already through taxes who are indigent (no job at all, illegals, and everyone else who can’t pay. And GUESS WHO gets to pay their share??? The cost will be a STAGGERING burden on each of us paying taxes. It’s mind boggling, and it’s going to be MANDATORY according to their own written word.
All – Don’t forget about the other 4 components besides the insurance companies,in the high cost of insurance, and the fact that we cover way more under insurance than ever was in the past. More claims, higher rates, vicious cycle. I’m not saying there isn’t bad apples in the insurance industry, but there are bad apples in all 5 components of the insurance mess, and if the government gets all to depend on them, what might be next. I am just passing through here man! I’ve seen alot of bumps in the way; i usually dont get sick , i am unemployed forced govt health care insurance is preposterous. (so where am i going to get the money from.) I don’t want NO infectious shots… therefore there isn’t no need for it to be kept up. “I appreciate my life and the govt is NOT going to take it from me!”
They already have a mandatory vaccination policy in place, but it’s not very well publicized. In order for any person (usually single women with children) to receive TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families, formerly welfare), they MUST vaccinate their children. This is the government making medical decisions. It was unbelievable to me to learn this when I made an inquiry into TANF once, for informational purposes only, and learned about this policy of forced vaccinations. It’s just a good thing I was not in dire need. I do not vaccinate my children. I would be without health care then if this forced vaccination policy were in place – and then the government would be responsible for the death of my child who has cystic fibrosis and needs medications and treatments that are VERY expensive and would be impossible to afford without the medicaid that she has now.
…and to think I have been a supporter of health care reform…I might want to rethink that one now.
I am on medicare and they can have it before any of them reptilian freaks make me take any kind of shot. Now they are trying to magnify the need to take away our arms. Do not let them take your guns! After researching the medical industry and health care, I find it a threat to my health to be forced to become one of their guinea pigs.
The Idea of forcing us to pay for it whether we want it, need it or whether it makes us healthier, or even kills us.
I did almost die from treatments for Chronic asthma in my youth, The medical industry was killing me. I only got better through alternative medicine.

I am personally surprised that the congress can push a health insurance that has not even been read? It boggles the mind that everyone just stands by and let it happen. It is amazing that they even have the power to do that? … and since listening to Obama before the final election, he actually stated what he was going to do, … and he is doing it.
What people must be reminded of is by the time the next election comes to pass, most of the laws would have changed to take further freedoms away and would not be revoked by the new administration, they will just build on what the Dem’s have done since they are in bed together.

Have you ever asked why a 3rd party has never had any great advances. It would be very difficult to control. I am under the conclusion that nothing will change, too much division (conquer and a divided population) through intended mis-information.

I, Brian McCrary will NOT comply with this new Healthcare bill as law, nor will I abide by it. If for some reason I fall outside having Health Insurance, I will not be paying the penalty, fine or tax, and I will not go to jail for not doing so, come what may. I will not be forced to pay for a product by the Federal Government or anyone else. That is simply nothing but extortion.
